Christian Slater was older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired
Miami, 1991. When his bloodthirsty demands can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he seeks revenge on a serial killer with the guidance of his father, Harry.
But I was pleasantly surprised
Dexter: Resurrection (2025) I was very curious as most modern remakes or prequels/spoilers these days are pretty bad. It started with the show’s introduction, and they did a really good job with the actor playing the young Dexter who could actually pass as a son.
The actress playing them doesn’t look like her and can’t deliver a line properly
All the characters are very well-cast, except for "Deb" of course; the character, she is very scary. They wrote her lines well, the actress doesn’t deliver them with the right attitude or timing.
This is a minor distraction
But overall, it’s worth a few more episodes to see if they blow it up or not. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
