That’s why I didn’t get it
James Patterson’s series of novels about the complex and brilliant detective Alex Cross. Hodge is the third actor to play Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first portrayed him on screen in the 1997 film Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 film sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the title character in the 2012 film Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and caused Lionsgate to scrap its previously planned sequel Double Cross. First of all, it’s a good, solid serial killer show.
With Cross you don’t
However, I think it’s a poor cousin to the UK’s Luther with Idris Elba. Both he and Cross have extraordinary psychological analysis skills. With Luther you get that.
thing and provides analysis that others simply don’t see
There are only two times in 8 episodes where he does the whole "Spideysense" thing. Then there’s the lackluster acting of some of the main actors. Their scenes just don’t do justice to the great acting of the main characters.
And the final point is Iasiah Mustafa
In this show, he’s the spitting image of Ireland rugby coach Andy Farrell. One is a black guy and the other is white, but boy, is the resemblance uncanny! Enjoyable show, but I think Luther does it better.
